I had so excited to hear that the book was out! I went online, downloaded the Kindle app for my Mac and bought it! It wasn't to long after that a girl on Facebook was wanting to get it but couldn't due to not having a paypal or debit or credit card. We talked for a tiny bit and I gifted her the book.Worth it's price. You can totally understand some of the emotions and feelings in the story. I am recommending it to all my friends! Thanks Chris!

The second I found out this book was for sale. I got it. I read it within two days, just unable to put it down!
I was never into anything involving vampires, but this book didn't bother me one bit. Every time I finished a chapter I couldn't help but to be curious as to what was going to happen next!
You all should totes read this!
Get this book, you wont regret it. Forget Twilight, lose those wimpy vampires, put down Anne Rice, for here is a book by Chris Patton! Once you've been Patton'd you are one for life!
This book was, In my opinion wonderfully written and a Beautiful find. Chris Patton did a wonderful job with the thought patterns and small personality details with Kyle Ryan, I recommend it. I cant wait for the physical release <3
I recieved this book 2 days ago. That's all it took. I just could not put it down. I totally fell in love with the characters. The flow of the book was so amazing that before you knew it you were at the end. In my opinion that was the only thing wrong with this book...it ended. Am looking forward to the next book. I definately recommend this read to everyone.
and that is a good thing. Not that I hated the Twilight series, but, eventually all that ooey-gooey love stuff got in the way. There is none of that here. This is a fresh new take on vampires. I especially liked how the author weaves it in with the goth & emo scenes. There was plenty of action here and the ending definitely leaves you wanting more. The characters are well developed and believeable and the story moves forward without anything getting in the way. I'm looking forward to the next installment.
What really got me about this book was the great connection with the main character, Kyle. I loved that while reading this book, I got a great insight on who he is. I loved reading his emotions, and feelings like I was in his shoes.
Kyle is a great character. His feelings are so raw and hurt. I loved how even when he was hurt, he held it in, forbidding anyone to see it. He needed help and boy did he get it. As his friends try to find out his new status of a vampire, I like that they all stuck by each other.
My gripe is the relationship status. While I'm glad that Kyle has love interest, Jackie totally ticked me off. I hated how she treated him. One minute she wanted him and the next, no. I was really upset cause I felt like Kyle deserved more. He was a great friend and really needed someone to lean on. I hope he finds someone better than her.
The plotline was good. As the reader, you fall into fast, getting into Kyle's shoe's quickly. Some parts were slow, while other times it was good. I am curious to know what happen with his makers.

Review I had a few issues with this book. I liked the concept and the message that Patton was trying to get through to his readers. There is definitely an interesting story process there.
I really couldn't relate to the characters. I really did try and it wasn't the fact the main character was a male. I think it was the missing of characters and the ulterior motives they had.
The plot was very slow, but again I think this was to drive through the messages Patton wanted his readers to know. I think the story could have been sped up and that would have made it more enjoyable.
